Elizabeth Shalders leads the Not-for-profit team at Lewis Holdway Lawyers. She is dedicated solely to practising in the area of Not-for-profit law and governance and is recognised as an expert in this field.

She works with small, medium and large Not-for-profits, and social enterprises, and has a strong focus on Not-for-profit tax concessions and governance disputes.   With over 10 years professional experience, she possesses a deep knowledge of the Sector and how it operates, having acted for a number of faith-based organisations, a range of independent schools, public benevolent institutions, affordable housing bodies, overseas aid organisations, industry bodies and professional associations. Her practical experience has been supplemented with notable academic achievements in the field of Not-for-profit law and governance.  These include authoring or co-authoring articles in Taxation in Australia and Australian Tax Forum, as well as speaking at conferences hosted by the University of Melbourne Law School, University of Queensland Law School, The Queensland University of Technology Centre for Philanthropy and Non-profit Studies and the Charity Law Association of Australia and New Zealand.
