Matthew Turnour is a Director and the Chairman of Neumann & Turnour Lawyers and heads the Corporate and Commercial Law Division of the practice.  He is Chair of the Queensland Law Society’s Subcommittee for the Not-for-profit Sector and a Director of the Australian Charity Law Association. Matthew is a member of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission’s Professional User Group.
 
His PhD thesis, entitled Beyond Charity: Outlines of a Jurisprudence for Civil Society was awarded Outstanding Thesis Award from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT). His other degrees are a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland, and a Master of Arts by research from QUT.
 
Matthew is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Institute of Management.
