Our presenter

Brigid O’Dwyer, Principal, Slocombe Brand Lawyers, Melbourne   

Brigid was previously an Associate Director in Pointon Partners’ commercial litigation department.  From February 2018, she will be commencing a new role as a  Principal of Slocombe Brand Lawyers.

Brigid is a skilled litigator, with a broad range of experience in all areas of commercial litigation, and a particular specialisation in retail leasing disputes. She manages cases in the Federal Court, Supreme Court, County Court, Magistrates’ Court and VCAT and frequently represents clients at mediations, either after the commencement of proceedings, or prior to litigation, including numerous disputes referred to the Victorian Small Business Commissioner under the Retail Leases Act.

Brigid also has extensive experience in intellectual property, including trade mark applications and disputes.

In 2002 Brigid achieved a Master of Laws at Monash University with a commercial law specialisation. In 2012 Brigid successfully completed Bond University’s Mediator Training and Assessment program, and now holds national accreditation as a mediator.


This webinar is suitable for lawyers practising in property law in Victoria and in-house Counsel advising on property law matters. This webinar is for practitioners with some knowledge in this area and looking to improve their knowledge.
